In the end of 2016 UAB „Naujoji šiluma“ , after winning a procurement contest, reconstructed the boiler house of VšĮ Klaipėdos jūrininkų ligoninės Psichiatrijos department. Now it is a modern biofuel boiler house which has two fully automated 0,5MW boilers. Their purpose is heat production. Boilers can burn straw, hay and wood pellets. For the boiler house to work continuously without personnel on duty it is equipped with two fuel tanks from which automated transport fed fuel pellets supplies to the intermediate fuel tanks and boilers. Also for the boiler house control a GSM module was used. In case of burglary, fire or boiler failure GSM module sends broadcast messages to responsible members of staff phones. Even better, the boiler house is registering the operating parameters and show casting it on the screen and has internet access. All these innovative technologies significantly facilitate the boiler room maintenance and allow more efficient allocation of the necessary human resources.

In the opening of modern biofuel boiler house participated UAB “Naujoji šiluma” Managing Director Vytenis Daunoravičius. He said that “the company is pleased to contribute to a more sustainable environment, the resources and the health of the surrounding population”. In order for the boiler house to operate smoothly and successfully local chaplain of the department, Antanas Gylys, hallowed the boiler house.
